نسیم پورآقایی، مادر دو فرزند، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ (۸ ژانویه ۲۰۲۶) در تهران با گلوله کشته شد. مرگ او در میانه موج انقلاب ملی رقم خورد و صحنه دلخراش در آغوش کشیدن او توسط مردی که پس از تیرخوردن به او میگفت: «الهی دورت بگردم»، در یادها مانده است. او به عنوان «فرزند ایران» و «جانفدای میهن» شناخته میشود.
